Henryetta is gearing up for a high-octane summer event that promises horsepower, chrome, and community fun. The inaugural Henryetta Tailgate Throwdown – Truck Show will take place Saturday, June 21, at Nichols Park, inviting truck enthusiasts from across the region to show off their rides and connect with fellow gearheads in a family-friendly atmosphere.

Organized by local auto lovers, the Tailgate Throw-down will feature everything from lifted trucks to classic pickups—both vintage and modern styles welcome. Participants can register on-site for just $20 per vehicle, with spots available on a first-come, first-served basis. Judging will begin at 12:00 PM, with trophies awarded at 3:00 PM, including categories for class winners, Best of Show, and People’s Choice.

The event schedule includes:

• 🕙 10:00 AM: Gates open (free for spectators)

• 🕛 12:00 PM: Judging begins

• 🏆 3:00 PM: Awards ceremony

• 🧹 4:00 PM: Event closes; cleanup begins

In addition to the show-stopping trucks, attendees can enjoy a variety of food trucks offering everything from smoked brisket to tacos and shaved ice. Vendors will also be on hand with truck-themed merchandise, apparel, and local crafts.

Event organizers stress that Nichols Park rules will be enforced, including:

• No burnouts or reckless driving

• No alcohol or glass containers allowed

• Pets must be leashed

• Vehicles will be inspected upon arrival

Spectators are encouraged to bring lawn chairs, picnic blankets, and plenty of sunscreen for a relaxing afternoon at one of Henryetta’s most scenic venues. Parking assistants and volunteers will be on hand to help guide traffic and ensure a smooth experience for everyone.
